#3 - reworded to eliminate points from Grand/Reserve class rolling back into
individual class
Rule
3 – POINT SYSTEM
•
In Halter Grand & Reserve Classes:
Grand Champion will receive 2 points more than the top horse in the sex
division. Reserve Champion will receive 1 point more than the top horse in the
sex division. These points will remain in the
Grand & Reserve sex class and will not roll back into the horse’s original
age class. Overall division placings will be determined by the points
accumulated in the Grand & Reserve Class for that sex. Class winners will
be determined by the points accumulated in the individual age class.
•
Ties for year-end awards will be resolved as follows: Classes in which both
contestants competed will be reviewed. First: The contestant with the greater number of
wins over the other will be placed higher. Second:
The horse earning points in the greatest number of classes will be the winner.
If this does not these two criteria do
not resolve the point tie, the tie will be submitted to the awards committee
for resolution.
