I.       Julie called the meeting to order at 6:36 pm

 

II.       Jenny Marlar read a summary of the January meeting minutes.

Minutes were approved as read.

 

III.       Treasurer’s Report:

Beginning balance $11521.44

Ending balance $???????

The treasurer was absent and so we didn’t have a report for this meeting. The beginning balance is the ending balance from January’s meeting.

This report is tabled until the next meeting.

 

 

 

 

Board of Directors

 

§  Nothing at this time.

 

 

Rules Committee

 

Presenter: Julie Hughes

 

• Meeting was held on Monday, February 1.
• Moderate changes to the rules were made.
• The rules and bylaws will be mailed out this month to discuss at the March General membership meeting.

 

Show Committee

 

Presenter: Amanda Johnson

 

• Put together a budget.
• Show dates have been confirmed for all venues.
• The budget was based off of last year’s with a 10% increase with the two day shows.
• Amanda is working with Adelle on getting the Horse Palace for half price on the second day.
• The total budget is $10600.
• A motion was made by Kim Steninger and 2^nd to approve the budget as proposed. Unanimous – motion carries.
• Amanda is getting the judges list lined out.
• Will get the premium put together after working with the Rules Committee.

 

 

Awards Committee

 

Presenter: Jacey Molyneux

 

• Had a meeting on Saturday, January 16.
• Starting the sponsorship drive.
• Another meeting is scheduled for February 5 at Matties at 6:30pm.

 

 

Public Relations/Special Events/Membership Committee

 

Presenter: Debbie Armuth

 

• Drawing for the January meeting – Kim Steninger is the winner.
• A concern that the webpage is being kept current was brought up.
• Need to change the BOD directors current e-mail addresses.
• Everyone needs to back up their current e-mail.
• Trying to get a meeting together for next week…Matties at 5:30pm On Wednesday February 10.

 

V. OLD BUSINESS

 

• None at this time.

 

VI.     NEW BUSINESS:

 

• Laurel Wachtel informed the general membership that NQHA has donated classes at our July show for class fees for the AQHA classes.
• They donated 4 classes for the ASAP awards program – an all breed program.
• They have 6 classes that they offer.
• Anybody can come and play in those classes for a $10 fee.
• This show will be at the fairgrounds on July 15-18. The Silver State Circuit.
• NQHA needs the list of who wins these classes by the 15^th of July.
• This will be brought up in the PR and SE committee meeting.
• Amanda will research having NQHA classes that run concurrent with our classes.
• NQHA put a calendar together. The cost is $15. To purchase one, please call Laurel at (775) 752-3930.
• Laurel is looking into doing more educational seminars.

 

A motion was made by Kim Steninger and 2^nd to adjourn the meeting at 6:59pm. Unanimous – motion carries.
